Here’s a preview of the players who will be high impact during camp weekend in Morgantown. Its an exciting time for anything going on at WVU especially basketball with a new staff in the building. That new staff will host 17 teams from 4 different states including 9 from WV. Here we have listed the incoming campers that we think could have the biggest impact from each team.

  • Jordan tee*ts Jordan tee*ts 6'1" | SG East Hardy | 2025 State WV is likely the top returning starter for an East Hardy team that made its way to Charleston and came up short. tee*ts showed up big in Charleston displaying great ball handling skills, catch and shoot as well as a nice mid range pull up game. He’ll be a handful for small schools matching up in regular season and should be a small college prospect if his progress continues to trend upward.
  • Wyatt Edwards Wyatt Edwards 6'5" | PF Lincoln County | 2025 State WV should be on some small college recruiting lists by now. He’s an athletic, broad shouldered power forward that plays with an old school flavor. Always gets the dirty work done first with his physicality, but uses his springy legs to out jump and finesse when necessary. He should be considered by D3’s immediately if not JUCO’s.
  • Kingston Christen Kingston Christen 5'11" | CG Magnolia | 2026 State WV returns for Magnolia as their returning scorer and combo guard. Christen is a quick draw from deep and had several games with multiple threes for the Blue Eagles. Kingston has a great feel for the game and the knack to create scoring opportunities. But, he is also a point guard who’s IQ allows him to distribute and create opportunities for teammates. He’s a handful to guard and stretches defenses instantly. Christen is a 2026 but should be on lots of D3 watch lists if not already.
  • Marty Johnson Marty Johnson 6'0" | PG Morgantown | 2025 State WV is tearing up the first few months of AAU season in hopes to provide the spark needed to keep Morgantown rolling in to next season. Johnson is a cat quick guard who fills it up in a hurry and can do it with any cast of players around him. Marty has a great sense of floor balance and ball leverage. He might not lead Morgantown in scoring in every game or even half of them, but his effectiveness will be on both ends and in every stat category. His ceiling is high in terms of recruiting and likely teeters between a D3 and lower level D2 at the moment, but that could change for sure.
  • Anden Santamaria Anden Santamaria 6'7" | PF Musselman | 2026 State WV has seen his stock go up as he’s gotten some excellent traction from his AAU exposure. The smooth and athletic post has put together a great spring of games where we were able to see him at Pitt Jam Fest and really start to blossom on both ends. Santamaria can be an imposing shot blocker when he’s focused, but can also drive by post players when he drags them outta the lane. What we liked most was his willingness to run the floor and finish breaks with dunks. His size will attract many suitors including juco, D3, NAIA and D2’s. We’d say D2 could be his ceiling but he isn’t done growing physically or on the court.
  • Tristan Smith Tristan Smith 6'7" | PF Preston County | 2025 State WV is coming back for Preston County and will likely lead them in several categories statistically. Most of all, be a rim protector on defense, but clean up misses, get putbacks, rebound and outlet as well as draw attention to the lane. Smith has started to blossom developmentally and see some success in the paint but still has some things to showcase to get to the next level. Mark him as a D3 solid but a prep or juco could take a chance.
  • Jackson Williams Jackson Williams 6'3" | SF Shady Spring | 2025 State WV made a big impression at the state tournament with us. Watching how he moved without the ball, catch and shoot as well as short dribble and fire. At his size and skill he’s a true shooting guard with what could be unlimited range. Id put him squarely on the D2 prospect level right now based on the aforementioned. If he grows just a little to maybe 6’4″ish and continues to shoot it well I could see some lower level D1’s taking interest.
  • Ashton Davis Ashton Davis 6'2" | SG Tug Valley | 2025 State WV does nothing but take advantage of opportunities. Davis is a slick shooting two guard who plays with great intensity at both ends. He takes some tough defensive assignments as well as get his points on offense. A high IQ and creative player who doesn’t mind mixing it up amongst the bigs. I could see an NAIA school snatching Davis up by 2025.
  • Brady Strode Brady Strode 6'2" | SG Tyler Consolidated | 2025 State WV has continued his momentum into the spring posting some great point totals and expanding his slash and dash game to new levels. Strode will captain the Tyler Consolidated team who had a down year due to youth and inexperience but are carrying alot of momentum into Morgantown. Strode will be the leading returning scorer and on the cusp of 1k points next season.
