William Von Ainsworth is the main character of the novel Reincarnated With The Strongest System. He is the son of Maxwell Von Ainsworth and Arwen Aenarion Ainsworth. He is the Prince of Darkness that will cover the world of Hestia in eternal darkness and the prophesied one to overthrow the Gods and is a God Slayer.

Appearance[]

According to the novel, he inherited his father's red hair and his mother's light-green eyes^[1]. He once said that he is the most handsome man on the Central Continent and that the others could only fight for second place^[2].

Personality[]

At the beginning of the story, he is first seen as a kind, loving, and caring person. He tends to be shameless and narcissistic like his grandfather. He is kind towards his family and friends but ruthless toward his enemies. During the time he was the Prince of Darkness, he became cold and ruthless towards others even to his lovers and relatives but deep inside he was still caring towards them. After losing his memories from the war against the Church of Light, he became innocent and feeble to others and also became shy when interacting with his lovers. After regaining his memories, he returned to his usual self.

Background[]

Gaea (1st Life)[]

He was born in an unknown world to an unknown pantheon, as a God Slayer, with the destiny of slaying his own father. In this life he met and fell in love with the goddess of eternal youth, Belle, who gave up her divinity to be with him, causing their Pantheon to age and eventually die out. This resulted in the Primordial Goddess hating Belle.

Camelot (2nd Life)[]

He was the bastard son of the king of Camelot, Arthur Pendragon, where he wasn't treated well due to his weak abilities and being a bastard. His mother was non other than his aunt, Morgan Le Fay. Since he was born due to incestrous relation, he was not recognized by his parents and was banished from Camelot. He then spent the rest of his life trying to gain his parents' recognition and love until he dead. The Lady of the Lake then took his body after his death. He was bullied by Lancelot for being weak. He also died after a great war which led him to being sent to Asgard.

Asgard (3rd Life)[]

He was guided by the Valkyries to Asgard after he died at the war by the Valkyries where he would eventually meet Acedia, Wendy, Chiffone, and Aila. They would fall in love in them eventually but would die against the battle against the Army of Destruction in which he was the last man to die on Surtr's blade.

Earth (4th Life)[]

He was an orphan who was left on the doorstep of an orphanage with a handkerchief that had his name sewn^[3]. He is infatuated with a girl from their school who is Belle. He tends to peek at her while she was doing her archery lessons. He decided to confess when he was already on his deathbed and decided to literally give his heart to her after he died.

Hestia (Current)[]

He was born as the son of the saintess of the Elven Race Arwen Aenarion Ainsworth and the Dungeon Conqueror Maxwell Von Ainsworth. He lived through childhood without his parents and only with his grandfather, uncle and aunt. The one who became a parental figure to him was Ella. He grew up to be the emperor of Ainsworth Empire and fought battles with the son of the Demon Lord and the Leader of the Holy Order of Light and also slaughtering gods while gathering wives along the way.

History[]

Before his rebirth in the world of Hestia, William was given a chance by the gods to retain his memory and choose a Patron God after reincarnating, due to the sacrifice he made before dying^[4]. He was poached by numerous gods into becoming his Patron God until he encountered Gavin, whom he chose as his Patron God^[5]. Lily and Issei gave him a piece of their divinity, their reason was Lily taking a liking to him and the latter for being his sworn brother. He then encountered David, who gave him his walking stick as a gift . Upon his rebirth, William was born in the Silvermoon Continent with a damaged soul after being hit by a truck before he gets reincarnated. He was forced to separate from his mother and her family due to the circ*mstances of being the Saintess of the Elven Clan^[6]. Him being the son of a saintess and a human from a race that prohibits marrying outside of their race, leads him to being hunted by them throughout his life. His father, Maxwell lost sentience before he was born by fusing himself with the World Tree^[7]. He inherited his father's ring, an artifact to travel to different dungeons in the world of Hestia^[8].
