SP Performance Peak Series Slotted Brake Rotors

SP Performance slotted brake rotors provide excellent stopping power while looking great. The slots on the brake rotor surface expel the brake dust away from your braking surface and wheels. This keeps the braking surface cooler. All SP Performance Brake rotors are machine balanced and disc ground and meet or exceed OEM specification. The slotted brake rotors are direct replacements to your existing brake rotors and require no brake system modifications. All slotted brake rotors come with your choice of coating for rust prevention. The anti-corrosion coating is available in three colors; Gray ZRC, Silver ZRC, and Black ZRC.

Slotted rotors are the preferred pattern for track cars as there is no risk of cracking due to heavy braking. The slots on the rotor is also one of the best ways to combat brake fade and maintain consistent stopping power.

Manufactured in the USA - All rotors are machined and plated to order by SP Performance employees.

Our Review

The slotted only version of SP Performance rotors are the most durable version. They will hold up very well to heavy vehicles and high heat situations. If you have a heavy vehicle (3/4 or 1 ton) or are notoriously hard on rotors, these are a great choice.

SP Slotted Peak Series Brake Rotor Characteristics

Angles Slots - The angle slots help increase pad bite, improve air circulation, and increase cooling. The slots also reduce fade and stop brake hydroplaning in bad weather. This greatly improving braking efficiency and reduces stopping distance.
Mini Half Slot - Mini Slots help to balance and stabilize friction level as well as optimizing pad contact. They also give the rotor a unique look
Corrosion Resistant Finish - Anti-Corrosion finishes give you a stunning clean look behind your wheels while preventing rust, corrosion, and oxidation. Available in Silver ZRC, Gray ZRC, or Black ZRC.
Quality - SP Performance slotted rotors are made using the finest quality castings that exceed OEM specifications. They are designed with the use of CAD software and machined with CNC equipment, ensuring the highest quality and consistent performance.

How Slotted Brake Rotors Work

Slotted brake rotors are used to move unwanted material and gasses away from the brake rotor and brake pad surfaces. Gasses are created by the repeated use of heavy braking, which causes a layer of brake dust and gasses to build up between the brake pad surface and the brake rotor surface. This will push the the brake pad away from the rotor surface. By adding slots to the surfaces of the brake rotor, those gasses are allowed to escape. This will creates a solid bite between the brake pad to brake rotor. As the gasses escape, the brake rotor and pad surface stay cooler, helping to eliminate brake fade.

SP Performance Limited Lifetime Warranty

SP Performance rotors are warranted to be free of defects in workmanship, and are guaranteed not to crack for the life of the rotor*.

*The life of the rotor is measured by the minimal thickness. Warranty does not apply to worn out rotors.

Warranty does NOT cover the following:

Brake noise or squealing.
Rotors worn to minimum thickness.
Pulsation caused by other factors such as a faulty caliper, worn out hardware, or excessive brake pad material transfer.
Damage caused by excessive overheating (bluing) of the rotors.
Off-road, commercial, or racing applications.
Improper installation, modification, or product abuse.
Shipping charges.

Terms and conditions of the warranty:

The warranty must be filed within 30 days of purchase. Save your original receipt. If you have a warranty claim, call us for return authorization. No returns will be accepted without an authorization number on the outside of the box. The original receipt of purchase must be included with the return. This warranty applies to the original purchaser only, and that the product was installed in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations. This warranty does not apply to commercial vehicles or vehicles used in racing.

SP Performance will not pay for any labor or consequential damages or materials which may be necessary for replacement of its products. The warranty is limited to the exchange of the product only, and only after the manufacturers inspection of the defect. No other warranty is hereby given or implied. SP Performance does not accept or assume any liability from damages resulting from errors, changes, or improper installation of its products.

Fill out the warranty registration online at www.sp-performance.com within 30 days of purchase. Save your original receipt. If you have a warranty claim, call us for a return authorization. No returns will be accepted without having the authorization number on the outside of the box. The original receipt of the purchase must be included with the claim.
