The Rangers fans got the chance to put their questions to the man in charge.
While John Bennett may have been in the firing line for the Ibrox steel fiasco, the flit to Hampden and a lack of funds for Philippe Clement to spend. the on pitch stuff is firmly in the Belgian's domain.
It hasn't been an ideal start to the season, but Clement has asked for time so the new faces can adapt. Some will take weeks, some months and dome up to. ayear, but he predicts big steps forward over the next couple.
There's a frustration that Celtic are a fair bit ahead, but Clement admits that's natura; when they've been building their squad for far longer.
James Tavernier's future seems far from certain, but the manager has spelled out what he looks for in a Rangers leader and Tavernier still seems to fit the bill as far as he's concerned.
Record Sport was across the best of the questions fans put to the man they hope will bring silverware back to Govan, sooner rather than later.

How many windows until you have the squad you want?
I wish I had the answer to that and had this crystal ball. I know a lot of fans and young ones like to play the PlayStation, Football Manager and all those things. But in real life it is totally different. You cannot make any prediction about that because first it’s about the finances you have yourself - I don’t know that yet for January - it’s about finding the right players and convincing them to come. It has to do with relationships with players and agents and with other clubs also, if they want to let them go or not. It’s impossible to predict that. All I can say is we will do it as fast as possible but you don’t have everything in your own hands in that way. You can only work really hard for that.
Ross Pilcher
Has there been any transition to Scottish football that’s been more challenging than anticipated?
To be honest not really. There’s not a big difference with the Belgian league. You also have a lot of teams playing with the low block and in transition towards the top teams. I think in Belgium you have more teams competing to win a title but that also has something to do with the formula they play.
Ross Pilcher
What are the most important skills for a leader to have?
I think for sure intelligence. I’ve seen some players wanting to be leaders and they have the ability to speak to the group and have the personality not to be afraid in front of the group or in difficult moments. But If you say the wrong things it doesn’t help so it’s important to say the right words.
A good leader is also somebody who can change his message depending on who he talks with. That’s a massive one. Not many players have that quality also. Some people become better when you are on top of them all the time. Some need more support or something in between it depends on the situation. A good leader in a group understands and feels that and does it in a good way. It’s very important for a manager to have a few of those types in your dressing room.
Ross Pilcher
Celtic have been building for longer
I don’t like to take out individuals but a young lad like a Connor Barron who played in some of the games at Aberdeen, not all the games, he made already a big set forward and got reward also by being selected for Scotland. Jefte is only 20 and already proving good things. It’s about working hard with the team and make them gel to create connections. The other side of the town have been building their squad for more than one year and playing together. It’s normal that they are ahead now. I hate that and I want to change that as fast as possible
Ross Pilcher
What can you say to fans who are growing impatient for regular success to return?
Everybody is working really hard for that and they need to realise players coming into this club need time to adapt, there is nobody in the world can predict how they will react. You have some players - not only here but in all the world - who need 3 months, 6 months and some after a week adapt. It’s a really personal thing you can’t predict before. I’m very sure we brought in several really talented players who will grow and will become better the next couple of years.
Ross Pilcher
Do you feel squad can mount competitive challenge for league?
Yeah I’m convinced about that or I wouldn’t be here. Of course it’s a big rebuild. 16 players left. It was not also easy to have a good transfer window because 7 players left for zero and had to be replaced by players that cost money. We had to cut the wages also because it was not sustainable the way the wages were built the last couple of years in the squad.

Clem is on
The manager is on stage and has been discussing Rangers in general.
He'll be taking questions from the fans in a bit and there seems to still be a fair amoiunt of goodwill towards the Belgian.
It's easy to forget the run he had Gers on when first taking over and the title race looked like going to the wire until some late season stutter steps.
It's not been an ideal start but Clement has proven he can build unbeaten runs and that will be needed at some point.
But the key remains beating Celtic and that's what he's got to find the formula for

Points of order
The formalities of the night are explained including the prizes on offer in the charity raffle and silent auction.

Asleep at the wheel
It seems the board remain very much the target of the fans' ire.
Yes Clement has made mistakes, but the bigger picture still sows punters that calls made from on high are what's really causing the issues at Ibrox.
And this banner en route to Edmiston House makes their feelings clear, accusing the higher ups of being asleep at the wheel whilst Celtic motor into the distance.

Feed the masses

Tav transfer chase latest
A quartet of Turkish Super Lig sides have been rebuffed in their pursuit of former England international Kieran Trippier as James Tavernier to Besiktas remains a live option.
Gio van Bronckhorst – unbeaten during a brilliant start in Istanbul – is seeking a new right-back and decision makers at Besiktas asked the question of Newcastle United over the availability of Trippier. But Eddie Howe's side have told multiple teams to look elsewhere with the Turkey transfer deadline arriving on Friday night.
Haber Turk report Besiktas are also major admirers of Rangers hall of famer Tavernier, however, there is a feeling they will be forced to wait until January with the Light Blues unavailable to add to their squad until the winter window.
And multiple reports insist Tavernier remains a live option for Besiktas with one claiming van Bronckhorst has held talks with the Rangers captain's camp with his future unclear in the wake of a chastening defeat to Celtic. Tavernier – linked with a clutch of clubs over the summer – was verbally accosted by one irate fan outside Ibrox.

Hagi is up for a fight
Ianis Hagi is refusing to give up on his Rangers dream and declared he will fight tooth and nail to save his Ibrox career.
The playmaker has frozen out under Belgian boss Philippe Clement with the Ibrox gaffer making his feelings clear on the situation surrounding the Romania international on more than one occasion.
He's been playing in the B team set up and training away from the first team behind the scenes and while fans have been wanting answers, he remains frozen out.
Hagi himself has taken to social media to express his 'love' for the club and has once again made his stance clear to everyone involved at Rangers by insisting 'I'm ready to fight for the fans, the coach and team'

What's on the agenda?
We may still be in the midst of international week and nine days have passed since Rangers were handed an Old Firm skelping.
But fans won't have forgotten and after some chose to descend on Ibrox to confront Philippe Clement and the players after the 3-0 defeat to Celtic, they will get their chance to grill the gaffer through proper channels this evening.
A fundraising event for the club's charity foundation, it has, perhaps, taken on even more significance since Gers were dumped out of the Champions League qualifiers, the transfer window closing and falling five points behind their rivals after just four Premiership fixtures.
There will be plenty wanting answers from the main man and it's unlikely to be as comfortable an evening as was maybe hoped for when the event was announced back in the summer.
But that comes with the territory when managing in Glasgow and you don't make the start to the season that was expected of you.
Record Sportlooks at what might be coming Clement's way.
