FAQs

How many keto cookies can I eat in a day? ›

We recommend one serving (two cookies) per day as your daily snack — although we won't judge if you find yourself reaching for more.

Can I eat one chocolate chip cookie on keto? ›

Unfortunately, traditional chocolate chip cookies, unless altered, are not usually keto-friendly because of their high carbohydrate content primarily coming from sugar and wheat flour.

Why is it hard to bake with coconut flour? ›

Since coconut flour doesn't contain gluten proteins that bind and create structure, eggs are usually used to hold the product together without crumbling. Using coconut flour in egg-free baking can be tricky but not impossible! Flax eggs, bananas, and apple sauce can also be used to bind and add structure.

How many carbs are in keto cookies? ›

Keto cookies soft-baked to perfection. 1-2 net carbs*. 8g of fat. No added sugar.

What happens if you go over 20 carbs on keto? ›

Consuming too many carbs can kick your body out of ketosis — and it takes several days to 1 week to get back into it. In the meantime, your weight loss may be disrupted.

Can you eat too much on keto? ›

Most people feel more satisfied after eating ketogenic meals and snacks due to the filling effects of fat and protein. However, it's entirely possible to consume too many calories on a ketogenic diet by eating portions that are too large or by snacking on high-calorie foods throughout the day.

Will one chip ruin ketosis? ›

As with bread and pasta, those starchy corn and potato chips we love are terrible for keto. Your body will break them down for energy and pull you out of ketosis, so don't even think about it. There is no real easy way to incorporate potatoes or corn into your diet while on keto.

Can I eat one candy on keto? ›

You can have candy when you're following a keto diet, provided you pick low carb keto-friendly versions. Read the nutrition labels of candy products to avoid purchasing and consuming treats that are too high in carbs to fit into your keto diet.

How long does it take to get into ketosis? ›

Getting into ketosis takes about two to four days, on average, because that's how long it takes for glycogen reserves to be depleted after someone starts eating a keto diet with under 50 grams of carbs per day.

Which is better to bake with coconut flour or almond flour? ›

They can both be used interchangeably in most recipes but almond flour is preferred for soft delicate cakes, and almond meal is best used in savory recipes.

Can I use almond flour instead of coconut flour? ›

To replace coconut flour with almond flour in your keto recipe, follow these recommendations: Replace every 1/4 cup (1 ounce) of coconut flour with at least 1 cup of almond flour. Decrease the amount of liquid in the recipe by using one less egg for every 1/4 cup of coconut flour that the recipe initially called for.

Does coconut flour bake better than almond flour? ›

Coconut flour has a slightly sweet and nutty flavor, with a hint of coconut aroma. It has a more absorbent texture and tends to create denser, moister baked goods compared to almond flour.

How many carbs ruin keto? ›

Most ketogenic diet guidelines recommend limiting your total carbohydrate intake to 15-30 grams or 5%-10% of your total calorie intake a day. Eating more than 50 grams of carbs may disrupt ketosis. With keto diets, however, carb restrictions vary from person to person.

Which chocolate for keto? ›

Yes, you can eat chocolate on a keto diet, but it should ideally be dark chocolate with a high cocoa content (over 70%) and low in sugar. It's essential to consume it in moderation to stay within your daily carbohydrate limits. Always ensure to check the nutritional label before indulging.

Is popcorn keto? ›

Net carbs are calculated by taking the total grams of carbohydrate in a food and subtracting the amount of fiber. In this case, popcorn contains 6 grams of carbs per 1 cup serving and 1.2 grams of fiber, bringing the net carbs per serving to 4.8 grams. Yes friends, popcorn is indeed a keto food.

How many cookies can you eat a day? ›

As my nutritionist once told me: if you have an urge for a cookie or a piece of chocolate, that's ok. To eat one or two a day is okay, even - so long as you don't eat a whole box! Because if you have the urge, and try to ignore it, it will probably get worse until you do eat a whole box.

Are keto cookies good for you? ›

One serving of seven pieces has 1g net carb, 130 calories, 13 grams of fat and 3 grams of protein, but from the taste, you'd never guess that they're healthy for you. They're a lot like cookie dough bites, although the texture isn't exactly chewy.

Can I eat 3 times a day on keto? ›

In response to the question of the frequency of eating, there are no one-quantity-suits all answer. Just eat whenever you are hungry and stop when you are full. However, there are exceptions when you are combining the keto diet with intermittent fasting.

How much cookies should you eat a day? ›

While one cookie a day isn't going to completely derail your diet goals, it's often easy to eat more than one at a time, and soon enough, downing quite a few cookies throughout the day could lead to unwanted pounds.
