Cooper's loved ones said he walked from Tight Again Barber Shop to his parked truck and confronted someone trying to steal his truck. "This man is fighting for his life. For what? You know, because you wanted to take something that didn't belong to you. Something that he worked hard for," Heidi Cooper, Cooper's sister, said. He won't be able to be there for his kid's birthday," Miller said. Chris Pipkins is one of Cooper's longtime clients. "He's been in this community for a long time, and I'm going to do whatever I can to help him and his family in their time of need," Pipkins said.He was outside the barber shop on Friday playing his saxophone. Pipkins said he's using his musical talent to raise money for Cooper's family. He plans to perform outside of the barbershop next Thursday.
